Bike Republic acquires London’s Velorution brand

Bike Republic has announced the acquisition of certain assets of London firm Velorution, which recently announced its closure.

Velorution has been trading in the central London for many years and has built a reputation of first class service to its customer base under the guidance of founder Andrea Casalotti.

Jonathan Cole managing director of Bike Republic said “ Following our highly successful concession in Selfridges department store we are delighted to add Velorution to our growing group of companies .Velorution has a long and established reputation in the London cycle market , so we are very happy to associate our brand with them. Velorution is a great business. with our investment, experience and focus, we’re confident in maintaining and improving the Velorution customer experience.

Andrea Casalotti said: “I am delighted that Bike Republic has added the Velorution brand to its growing group of companies. They will be able to deliver the first class service our customers have come to expect from us over the years and with their retail and business experience and unique product ranges will be able to address the needs of the new generation of city cyclist.”

Velorution blog readers will be pleased to know that Andrea has agreed to continue to curate the journal which will appear on both Velorution and Bike Republic websites.

Trading will continue for the next few weeks at 93 Great Portland Street.
