Bianchi extends sponsorship deal with Team Giusfredi

Bianchi has confirmed that it will extend its current sponsorship deal with Team Giusfredi Bianchi into 2017, strengthening its position in women’s cycling.

The bicycle brand will provide Team Giusfredi with high-end Oltre XR1 model road bikes for the coming season, supporting each rider with its integrated race equipment, which consists of top-of-the-range helmets engineered by Lazer and Bianchi performance eyewear.

Former professional rider and World Champion Edita Pucinskaire currently holds the position of team manager, with Guiseppe Lanzoni and Roberto Rossi remaining as sports directors into the new year.

"Bianchi appreciates the incredible input we’ve received from our women’s cycling development program Team. Women represent a significant market for Bianchi and it is important to understand the specific product requirements they may have. Additionally, we think it is necessary to support women’s cycling and Team Giusfredi Bianchi provides an excellent opportunity and example for all women," said Bob Ippolito, CEO of the Bianchi brand.

Team Giusfredi Bianchi has confirmed that it will take part in all the main international one-day and stage races of the UCI international calendar.
