Clerkenwell trade show is back for a third year

Best of Britannia trade show looks to grow UK cycle firm presence

The Best of Britania trade show has told BikeBiz it is keen to grow the presence of those manufacturers producing cycling goods in the UK.

Based at Clerkenwell’s 40,000 square foot Farmiloe Building, the show runs over October 2nd, 3rd and 4th and typically draws around 200 brands from the fashion, art, furniture, grooming and cosmetics, lighting, food and drink industries.

With brands like Moulton having taken space last year and returning once more, the organisers is keen to embrace further UK cycling success stories.

Newly appointed non-executive director Wayne Hemingway commented: “I decided to get on board with Best of Britannia because they are definitely on to something. The time is right for it, but we need a lot more British manufacturers and British brands to support it. I want to add my voice, making that happen and to be a part of an independent organisation that is committed to persuading the market to continue its move back home. Britain leads the world when it comes to design, if we can make more local manufacturing ingenuity available to designers then we can go from strength to strength.”

Organisers anticipate 4,500 visitors per day. A second event is planned for May 2015 in Manchester.
