Belgian bike brand Nichelson Bicycles seeks UK bike shops

Belgium-based Nichelson Bicycles has appointed BottleSport to handle its sales and distribution activities for their bikes and wheels in the UK.

Founded in 2010 by Thomas Nichelson they are striving for to ‘build a reputation as the new reference-point within the Belgian bicycle market’.

The company said it believes that the potential for Belgian brands in the UK is vast. The increasing popularity of the sport (and especially the spring classics) in all Anglo-Saxon countries can be seen in all cycling events in both Belgium (cycling challenges like Ronde van Vlaanderen, Ghent-Wevelgem) and in the UK (Ride London 100, etc.).

It said: “We have tried to embody the Belgian spirit of bike riding in our products and designs”.

Nichelson Bicycles produces nine frame designs with a variety of finishing kits. Six road frames are available in carbon, titanium and aluminum models. Time trial, cross and 29er MTB bikes complete the range. They have simultaneously developed Thorax, a range of carbon (both clincher and tubular) and alloy-carbon wheelsets, available in 38, 50 and 85mm high rims.

BottleSport MD Andrew Holyoake said: "We’re very excited about our new relationship with Nichelson Bicycles, another forward-thinking young Belgium business. The range of bikes is extensive and the addition of their proprietary wheelsets ‘Thorax’ is also very exciting. Equally, their superb value-for-money demonstrates that Nichelson are serious about making it in the very competitive UK market.”

BottleSport are looking to appoint regional and national bike shops for the Nichelson range. They can be contacted on 01603 722683, sales@bottlesport.com and the range can be viewed at www.nichelson.be.
