Avelon Network, the cycling and sports-specific affiliate network, has reported a 1171% increase in sales for Q1 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
In sharing the news, the company also points out that it achieved a net profit margin of 85.43% for the quarter, with a steady upward trajectory throughout the first three months of the year.
The company’s cost structure has remained stable since October 2024, with projections indicating further growth in profit margins – further solidifying its position as a leading business in the sports affiliate industry.
“We’ve just been more efficient and focused on what works over the past 6 months: partnering with the right people, publishers, retailers and brands to push the needle,” comments Andrew Richardson, founder of Avelon.
Richardson continues, “Don’t get me wrong, we’re still small-fry compared to the big affiliate networks – but we’re actively trying to make a difference. Content, athlete and partnership marketing – it’s now proven to be the future and is growing at a rapid pace.”
Media partners and athletes coming on board
In a major development, Avelon has successfully onboarded Outside & Bauer Media Group as large-scale publishers, expanding its reach and industry influence throughout the US and Europe.
Additionally, the company is onboarding 5-10 new athletes and affiliates per day – an exponential increase from the previous rate of 1-2 per day recorded in September 2024.
“Outside Inc. and Bauer are a big deal for us.” reflects Richardson, who continues, “We prefer to let the numbers do the talking, but these publishers are so advanced in how they operate in the affiliate space that they’ll easily make a big impact on the merchants using our platform.”
Product development and technology investment
Avelon is also making significant investments in cutting-edge technology. The company has been beta testing new, proprietary innovations that are expected to launch within the next 3-6 weeks. These advancements will further enhance Avelon’s platform capabilities and user experience, enabling content creators to provide the same value as publishers and enhancing tracking for merchants.
Staff addition to support existing customers and enable future growth
To streamline operations, Avelon has expanded its team by hiring a financial controller, ensuring efficient invoicing and billing processes. Despite this growth, the company remains committed to a lean operational model, prioritizing profit margins, automation, and platform simplicity over aggressive scaling.
Richardson points out: “We’re still finding our feet in the UK, but we have our eyes on the US and Europe. We’ll be investing heavily into acquiring new publishers and retailers in these regions over the next 6-9 months and developing technology to streamline the affiliate process even more.”
Avelon continues to push the boundaries of affiliate marketing within the sports industry and looks forward to sustained growth and innovation in the coming months.
