Following a successful tour of the UK last year, ATG Training is now planning a return to Scotland as well as heading to Ireland and Wales to run its in-store and on-site Cytech assessment days.
Cytech is a training and accreditation scheme for bicycle technicians, with courses being delivered globally through a network of training providers. In the UK, the company has four permanent locations, however where no training centres currently exist, Cytech trainers and assessors are able to travel off-site to deliver assessments and award Cytech qualifications.
In addition to the assessments that its team of area-based trainers already offer throughout England, Cytech training provider ATG Training is giving bike mechanics in Scotland, Ireland and Wales the opportunity to get qualified by completing an in-store or on-site assessment for Cytech technical one and two when ATG visit these locations later in the year.
The team will be travelling to Scotland, Ireland and Wales over the coming months, spending four or five days in each location to run assessments.
Scotland – 23rd – 27th April
Ireland – 30th April – 4th May
Wales – 29th May – 1st Jun
Cytech technical two assessment includes a full strip and rebuild on a bike incorporating facing and chasing the frame, a wheel build and a hydraulic bleed.
Depending on circumstances and workshop facilities, ATG Training can arrange to visit staff in their own workshop.
