Nanjing, China will see a brand new bicycle trade fair next summer, named Asia Bike.
The new event will run concurrently alongside Asia Outdoor from July 27th to 30th 2011. Both will take place at the new Nanjing International Exhibition Centre.
Asia Outdoor will be in its sixth year in 2011. This year the event attracted 16,326 visitors and 359 exhibitors across 32,000 m2 exhibition space.
According to the press statement, the two events will run together due to the cross over between outdoor activites and sports bikes – particularly mountain bikes. In China, many outdoor dealers already sell mountain or trekking bikes.
The event coordinator and chief marketer for Asia Outdoor and Asia Bike is Knut Jaeger. Jaeger co-founded OutDoor Friedrichshafen in 1994.
The joint organisers of both shows are Nanjing International Exhibition Centre and German Messe Exhibition Consulting. The shareholders of the latter company are Messe Freidrichshafen; Asia Outdoor Marketing, Hong Kong and Beijing, and Alpinist Outdoor Media, Beijing.
