Argon 18 has launched its all-new Nitrogen Pro, “developed and engineered as a full system” to make this the fastest road bike the business has ever made.
At launch, the brand states, the Nitrogen Pro has been engineered for optimal interaction between aerodynamic frame design, modern geometry, flexible rider fit & world-class components. Critically, the Canadian brand stresses that the “Nitrogen Pro is built to perform in real-world conditions, offering the performance and ride quality Argon 18 is recognised for.”

Real-world performance
With the goal of creating the world’s fastest road bike, Argon 18 engineers also built solutions from the ground up to achieve “unprecedented aerodynamics”.
Rather than designing a frame and pairing it with standard components, Nitrogen Prow has been built as a fully integrated aerodynamic system, honed using a CFD model featuring the bike and rider matched with specific component combinations for optimal performance.
Argon 18 used this approach to ensure theoretical performances would be achieved in real-world conditions – not just in a wind tunnel.
Speaking about this approach, Vincent Lemay, Vice-President of Research & Development, comments: “We realised that making the fastest bike on the market isn’t possible using status-quo design approaches and readily available components. We engineered a complete ecosystem that includes the rider, the frame geometry, component design, collaborations, integration, and real-world performance.”
Performance optimised partnerships
A standout feature of the Nitrogen Pro is the ATTEN x Scope Artech 6.A+ wheelset – developed in collaboration with Scope Wheels – from the brands Artech 6.A model.
The wheelset, a fully integrated component of Nitrogen Pro’s front-end aero system, saw enhancements made for maximum performance and speed across tarmac, pavé, chip seal, and beyond – made possible thanks to a form specifically tailored for Nitrogen Pro, when ridden with a 700x30c tyre. The result is said to be an exceptionally smooth ride, at top speeds and over all road surfaces.
The Nitrogen platform also features a custom ATTEN CHB-01 Aero Handlebar that simultaneously optimises leading edge aerodynamics and rider positioning. All Nitrogen bikes are delivered with specially designed bottle cages that incorporate an airflow concept inspired by automotive design.
The Nitrogen platform is available with two carbon fibre layup options, three colourways and a total of six different builds.
Bookings and pre-orders are open, and delivery to Argon 18 dealers will start in November 2025.
