Anna Schwinn, Jayson O’Mahoney and Steve Fisher join Bikerumor.com

Anna Schwinn joins Bikerumor

Anna Schwinn, great-great-granddaughter of Ignaz Schwinn, who founded American bicycle company Schwinn in 1896, has joined Bikerumor, the tech cycling blog. Schwinn is a former design engineer for Zipp’s carbon components and, more recently, worked on QBP’s All-City, Foundry, Whisky and Civia bicycle brands.

Schwinn has worked with composites and alloys to develop solutions for things like disc brake integration and complete bikes ranging from road to cyclocross to mountain to commuter, all the while blogging the process on the brands’ websites.

“Anna’s knowledge of the technical aspects of frame and component design and the industry as a whole is amazing,” said Tyler Benedict, Bikerumor’s founder.

“Her insider’s perspective and ability to translate technical details into entertaining stories mean we all have some incredible things to look forward to."

Also joining Bikerumor’s team this year are Jayson O’Mahoney of GravelCyclist.com, and Steve Fisher. O’Mahoney is an Australian mountain biker transplanted to Pemberton, British Columbia.

“We’re always looking for fresh voices, and to be able to add them in such diverse places like Florida, Minnesota and BC means we’re able to cover even more ground," said Benedict.
