Aldi to launch a bike range this month

Aldi has announced that as part of its Specilbuys series, the chain will soon release its own range of cycling products, which will be available in-store from September 28th.

The range features a host of products including an indoor bike trainer, priced at £49.99 and listed as, “the perfect addition to any garage,” a camera bike light which is set to retail at £39.99 with eight gigs of memory, a set of front and rear LED lights – no mention of lumens – and ‘high performance’ lights with flashing or steady beams, retailing at £12.99 and 14.99 respectively.

The range also extends to clothing, with the official blurb stating, “Those brave enough to face the elements can choose from Aldi’s Cycling Rain Jacket at £19.99 or Winter Cycling Jacket at £16.99 – both available in three different sizes for men and women.” The clothing range also features cycling tights at £13.99 featuring ‘wind-stopper fabric’ and reflective detailing, and waterproof over-trousers at £14.99.

The range extends to a clothing collection designed for, “more serious cyclists” who can, “up the ante with Aldi’s Merino clothing range.” A Cycling wind jersey with Merino will set you back £19.99, whilst a Merino sports base layer will cost £16.99.

A small range of cycling accessories is also available, including a rust-proof floor bike stand, a bike cover and maintenance spray from notable brand Muc-Off.

The range will be available in the UK from September 28th and according to Aldi, “once it’s gone it’s gone.”
