Ahooga says it has doubled sales in 2026, with dealer pre-orders for 2027 on track to double again, as the Belgian folding bike brand continues to expand its European retail network.

The company presented its 2027 range and a new in-house dealer portal at its annual dealer day at Schloss Velen, Germany, on 19 October. Partners from Germany, Austria, Sweden and the UK attended. More than 40 new dealers have joined the network this year, bringing its European partner base to more than 200.

Hendrik Winkelmans, CEO of Ahooga, said: “I was a bike shop owner before I started Ahooga. I know what shop owners need from a brand, and what they’re tired of hearing. That’s the lens we build everything through, from the bike to the portal. Much of the industry spent the last two years cutting back. We doubled this year, and our dealers’ pre-orders say we’ll double again in 2027.”

According to Ahooga, several existing dealers more than doubled their pre-orders following the event.

Dealer support and 2027 range

The 2027 range builds on Ahooga’s Max folding bike platform, which includes the A-MAX and E-MAX. The brand says its patented double-triangle frame is designed to give a folding bike the ride of a full-size bike.

Developed in-house, the new dealer portal brings tracking, parts ordering and an online dealer community together in one place. ELITE dealers also receive dedicated marketing support.

Ahooga has appointed Julia Stahl as its dedicated after-sales contact for DACH and is adding staff to its UK sales and Benelux teams.

Dealer day

Massimiliano Colosimo, head of sales at Ahooga, said: “People like coming to our event, and it’s not really a sales event for them anymore. As one dealer told me, it’s kind of a family.”

Mike Clark, who covers London and the South East for Ahooga UK, said British partners had also commented on the atmosphere: “One of my dealers was very impressed with the togetherness of everybody. There’s normally always someone cynical.”

The event included a group test ride on the Max and a Custom Max Challenge, in which dealers customised bikes and presented them at dinner before attendees voted for their favourite. Ahooga plans to put the builds to a public vote on its social media channels this winter.

Growing the network

For recently appointed dealers, the event offered an introduction to the wider network. Stuart Jefka, from Ahooga’s German sales team, said: “For the newer clients it felt like: wow, this is the place to be.”
