The website of the Lake District National Park says:
"The Lake District still welcomes visitors but walking, cycling and riding is strictly limited to tarmac roads to help prevent spreading the infection."
But now even some tarmace roads are no-go areas.
Police have closed the roads between the Duddon, Langdale and Eskdale valleys. The Hardknott and Wrynose hill climbs have also been closed.
