Re-Cycle, the charity that ships second-life bicycles to rural Africa, has announced a new partnership with Wildoo, a leading supplier of custom-made and branded cycling products.Â
Wildoo has provided over 500 reusable bottles, protein shakers and assorted cycling clothing – all destined for communities in Africa where access to clean water and safe transport remains a daily challenge.
The donation includes:
• Eight boxes of reusable drinks bottles in mixed sizes.
• Two boxes of protein shakers.
• One box of assorted new, unused cycling clothing, including jerseys, jackets, and other items.

These essential items will be shipped alongside Re-Cycle’s regular consignments of donated bikes, reaching partners in countries such as Ghana, Zambia, and Sierra Leone. The donated bikes help people reach education, jobs, and markets while carrying goods – truly changing lives across Africa.
In many rural African communities, clean drinking water comes from shared boreholes or community pumps. Reusable bottles (often a luxury!) make a huge difference. Re-Cycle is glad to send them alongside the bikes, not just for cyclists but for entire communities to use every day.
It’s fantastic to provide drinks bottles alongside our bikes. We’re incredibly grateful to Wildoo for this thoughtful and practical support – Georgia Brown, Marketing & Fundraising Manager at Re-Cycle.
Wildoo regularly produces small overruns to ensure every order meets exacting standards. Rather than discard these perfectly good extras, the company has committed to donating surplus stock to Re-Cycle with every new production run.
This partnership with Re-Cycle is the perfect outlet for Wildoo to responsibly dispose of products we have no further use for. The fact they can be sent to Africa and used to encourage cycling & independence in local communities rather than destroyed is the perfect win-win!! – Andy Easterbrook from Wildoo
This partnership goes far beyond bikes. By packing bottles and clothing into every container, Re-Cycle is reaching more lives – supporting daily needs.

Re-Cycle is eager to partner with more businesses and collection points across the UK to gather unwanted bikes and boost our impact. We also welcome donations of reusable bottles, helmets, clothing, and bike parts – if you have surplus stock, please get in touch at info@re-cycle.org.Â
