Full-Time Bike Mechanic

We are looking for a skilled and experienced bike mechanic to join our team full-time. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and assembling bicycles to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and safety. You will also interact with customers to diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and provide expert advice on bike maintenance and upgrades.

Responsibilities for this role include performing routine maintenance and repairs on various bicycle makes and models. Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements. Assemble new bicycles according to manufacturer specifications. Conduct safety inspections and quality checks on completed repairs. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and offering expert advice. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

If you are interested in this role then we need the following requirements. Proven experience as a bike mechanic, ideally in a retail or service-focused environment. Strong knowledge of bicycle components, mechanics, and repair techniques. Proficiency with bike repair tools and equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Passion for cycling and commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Cycle Technician / Mechanic

We are looking for a cycle technician to work 39hrs a week over 5 days to include Saturday and Sundays on a rota basis. A Cytech 2/3 or an equivalent qualification is desirable, however if no qualifications, then previous extensive workshop experience would be considered.

Roles and Requirements include five days per week on a rota which includes Saturdays and some Sundays. Service and Repair of cycles. New Bike Assembly. We’re seeking a Bike Builder and Sales Assistant to work with us at our Bristol Hub! We’re looking for a motivated, entry-level mechanic to join our friendly team at our professional bike workshop located in the car park of Horfield Prison.

You’ll be working closely with our expert mechanics, helping them to complete a variety of tasks including providing friendly customer service for those looking to buy a refurbished bike or book a repair. Completing pre-delivery inspections on sold bikes. Handling basic repairs like puncture fixes for walk-in customers. Carrying out bike checks on refurbished bikes from our prison training workshop. Dismantling donated bikes for parts and determining whether they should be sold or scrapped.

Your team will be supported by a fantastic team of volunteers, including men Released on Temporary License or ex-offenders on work placements, all working together to refurbish and sell bikes donated by the public.
