Cycling Electric Demo Days are set to become a nationwide series in 2025, with an additional 2024 event also scheduled to take place in Bath.
The series, hosted by Specialist consumer publishing outfit Cycling Electric, was launched at the Lee Valley Velopark in London in the Spring of 2024, and will now become a national series in 2025.
In addition to this, an extra date has also been added for 2024, with the event taking place at the Odd Down Track in Bath, on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
The Odd Down, Bath, hosted event will offer consumers closed-circuit cycling on the tarmac loop, with brands confirmed for the event thus far including Estarli, Tern Bicycles, Benno Bikes, Tenways, Riese and Müller and folding bike specialist Eovolt. Additional brands are expected to be added to this list in the coming weeks.
A national series in 2025
Of the decision to go wider with the demo series, Cycling Electric Editor Mark Sutton said: “There’s nothing like trying an electric bike for the first time.
“With public knowledge of e-bikes still evolving we’re committed to playing our part in making demo events accessible within reach of people’s doorsteps.
“Our debut event in London confirmed the value of in-person demos and what was most reassuring was the broad demographic range that turned up to try e-bikes of all styles.”
Demo Days 2025 locations
Cycling Electric has now confirmed there will be no less than four Demo Day events in 2025, with a repeat of London’s Lee Valley Velopark event in April, a second outing in Bath also in the spring, a debut in Leeds by June and a further event at the Herne Hill Velodrome by September next year.
It is hoped that expanding the footprint of the series wider will unlock the next generation of riders and the event marketing, rather than targeting existing cyclists, will go to great lengths to tempt the public at large to have their first demo experience.
Adrian Hogan, director of sales at Cycling Electric added: “Our brand partners in London reported a healthy volume of sales leads to follow up on and there wasn’t a bike that didn’t get ridden across all categories.
“To take the next step and go national with the Demo Days series was the next logical step for the Cycling Electric brand and closely mirrors the progress of our sister title, the Cyclist Track Days, which has been a national demo series for many years already.”
