SRAM has revealed a new lower priced 1×11 group dubbed the GX and costing just £451 all in.
The budget drivetrain now sits snugly between the firm’s X1 1X11 group and the ten-speed X5, but with many of the same trickledown features.
Coming in at several hundred pounds cheaper than an X1 groupset, the GX is of course a weightier version than the high-end gear, with the cassette built with individually stamped steel cogs that are held together with 123 pins. The same wide 10-42 range is offered.
Two GX cranks are offered – a hollow forged unit being the more premium choice. Both will offer the option of switching to a double cog up front if desired, with a derailleur and shifter added to the catalogue to match.
