Cycle dealer ramps up presence in the growing smartphone sector; Android version is in the works

18 Bikes shop launches iPhone app

Peak District-based 18 Bikes Ltd has just announced its new iPhone app, now available to download for free.

The app features feeds from the shop’s photo, video, news and Twitter pages.

The shop’s app is free to download from the Apple Appstore.

"With mobile internet use growing, we wanted to be ahead of the game with an easy way to keep our customers up to date while they’re out and about," explained shop owner Simon Bowns. "We’re only a small shop and keen to make the most of all the internet offers.

"We’re revamping our website and this app is another great way to keep in touch. Hopefully we can justify further upgrades and features in the future," Bowns added.

An Android version is currently in development.
