Germany-set bicycle show Eurobike will showcase an emerging category of inclusive bikes – the all-mountain sports bike.
According to the show organisers, many manufacturers are planning entries into the burgeoning sector, which is also known as ‘140’ bikes, referring to the typical 140mm suspension travel on front and back wheels. 140 bikes are versatile enough to handle long uphill climbs and difficult downhill runs with a typical weight between 10.5 and 11.5 kilos.
New models from the sector to be shown at Eurobike include the One 40 from Cannondale, the Stumpjumper by Specialized (pictured), the Dozer from Simpion and the Zesty 910 by Lapierre.
Eurobike starts with a trade-only demo day on Tuesday September 1st, while the show proper starts Wednesday September 2nd, running until Saturday 5th. The official site is here.
