Fizik debuts Antares Adaptive 3D-printed saddle

Pozzoleone, Italy-based Fizik has expanded its 3D-printed saddle offering with the introduction of the new Antares Adaptive, now available in R1 and R3 models.

The Antares is already a proven winner and saddle of choice for the likes of Team Visma | Lease a Bike and Movistar Team.

This new variant of the saddle, designed for riders seeking performance which doesn’t sacrifice comfort, takes the Antares shape, which has appeared in nearly every Grand Tour of the last two decades, and introduces 3D-printed innovation.

Power transfer and pressure relief

Fizik’s Adaptive 3D-printed padding has now expanded to the Antares family, creating a platform for riders who want long-lasting comfort on a low-profile performance saddle designed to allow a more connected feeling for optimal pedalling efficiency and power transfer.

Tailored zonal cushioning

The evolution of digital 3D printing has allowed Fizik to develop a new saddle without the constraints or limitations imposed by traditional production methods and materials. The Adaptive saddle padding is crafted by 3D printing specialist Carbon, using their revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis technology.

By using Carbon’s technology, biomechanics and engineers, Fizik has been able to incorporate multiple functional zones within the saddle, tuning each of them in turn for specific mechanical properties.
