X-Bionic UK launches, seeks retailers

Following a link up with Team Raleigh, X-Bionic UK has launched a trade sales arm and is now seeking stockists.

Specialising in performance gear for road cyclists and mountain bikers, the Italian made product is now represented in the UK by country manager Zach Thackray who has ten years prior experience in the cycling apparel market.

Thackray told BikeBiz: “X-Bionic is a totally unique product in terms of it technical capabilities. We differentiate in terms of the service we are able to give our customers with our stock capabilities. All of our clothing is manfuafctured in our own facility in Asola, Italy, where stock is also held. As a result we’ve very few issues with lead times and can be very reactive to stock demands.”

Much thanks to the brand’s ability to turn product around quickly, the brand is not asking retailers to commit to a significant stock holding.

Thackray will be assisted by technical/event manager and former Pro Cyclist Matteo Carrara. Carrara, whose palmarès include victory in the Tour of Luxembourg, will be particularly involved with the X-Bionic Test events, which are to be run in conjunction with X-Bionic dealers, giving customers a chance to test ride gear alongside the former road star.

At the end of March X-Bionic is looking to take 20 retail partners to its manufacturing base to see product made first hand and cycle the Lake Garda region.

Marketing of the label will be taken care of by the House of Luxury.
