Wiggle and Howies make ‘top 50 retail sites’ list

News site Retail Week has listed ‘50 retail websites you have to visit’, including Wiggle and Howies.

The list, put together by online retail experts, features sites from different sectors of the industry, and calls the portals listed as best in class.

In praise of cycle retailer Wiggle, Lloydspharmacy commercial director Chris Frost said: “The navigation on this sports equipment site is extremely easy and you can search and sort in a range of ways. The order tracking is easy. It also has a tally on how much you spend so the more you spend the greater the discount.”

Speaking of Howies.co.uk, Reevoo.com co-founder and chief exec Richard Anson said: “I love what Howies is doing. It is clearly focused on its niche (high-quality, long life clothing) and manage to create a strong sense of community both online and in its catalogues, subtly encouraging them to buy. It feels natural, rather than contrived.”

Other sites carrying cycles were picked out by Retail Week, including auction site eBay, Amazon and John Lewis.
