Velo Vision produces 40th issue

Velo Vision of York has reached a milestone: its 40th issue. And it is in its tenth year of publication.

The magazine, published quarterly, is edited and published by Peter Eland, aided by Sue Archer.

Issue 40 has a blow by blow account of how the magazine is produced. This is usually the slot for plugging two IBD stockists of the magazine. Cycle Sense of Tadcaster is the IBD plugged in this issue. Eland takes panoramic photographs of the bike shops he features and stitches them together for use in the magazine.

16 dealers have been profiled so far: Kinetics, Laid Back Bikes, Amsterdammers, Bikefix, Bicycle Workshop, Velorution, London Recumbents, Futurecycles, Bikes and Trailers, Practical Cycles, Onbike, D Tek, Westcountry Recumbents, Bike to Be, Calhoun Cycle of the US, and, now, Cyclesense.

The 40th issue also has a review of ‘cycling by satellite’, a "beginner’s guide to what GPS technology can offer today’s touring and commuting cyclist," including a review of the bicycle trade’s levy-funded Bike Hub iPhone and Android satnav app.
