Upgrade backs the Cycling Media Awards

Bicycle and accessory distributor Upgrade has signed up to support the inaugural Cycling Media Awards.

Upgrade has sponsored the Best use of Photography award with its highly photogenic label Kinesis, as well as the Cycling Magazine of the Year category, via its DMR Bikes brand.

Rory Hitchens, Upgrade’s marketing and senior brand manager told BikeBiz: "Upgrade Bikes has a lot to thank the UK’s cycling media for in the partnerships built over 20 years of building successful brands for the Cycle Trade. We are very pleased to be sponsoring two of the CMA awards categories in the inaugural year.

"With Kinesis-UK we are sponsoring Best Use of Photography and, as a brand which places a great importance on inspiring imagery, we think this is a great award fit. Our other house brand, DMR Bikes, is sponsoring Cycling Magazine of the Year and as DMR comes into its 20th year in 2015 we think it’s a fitting way to start the celebration of all that is great in the cycling press."

The awards evening takes place on Thursday October 16th at The Bloomsbury Ballroom, London. The UK’s top cycling media has been invited to attend – from a mix of mainstream media, national press, TV and radio and specialist outlets.
