Tyne Bike gets its first public airing

Newcastle City Council leader Tony Flynn told the assembled civic dignatories that the Tyne Bike would be one of the icons of the NewcastleGateshead bid for Capital of Culture status in 2008.

The Tyne Bike is dressed in bid colours and features bid logos. However, the Tyne Bike fleet would be privately owned and operated.
