Two bike shop staff admit cycle thefts

Two staff members pleaded guilty to multiple charges of theft from Halfords’ Gillingham staff, reports Kent Online.

A stock check revealed the theft, with one of the two (Colin Gooders) ‘bravely’ taking the bike back to the store for two refunds. The other, Luke Wilson, sold a Pinarello model on eBay. CCTV footage also provided damning evidence.

Wilson was charged with theft and Gooders with four counts of theft. Both are paying court costs, undergoing rehabilitation and carrying out unpaid work as punishment. Full story here.
