Thule hails successful London Bike Show debut

Thule’s Outdoor and Towing branches collaborated for its appearance at the London Bike Show last month, the first time it has taken a stand at the show.

Among the product lines being showcased was the Thule G2 923 Bike Carrier and smart foot-pedal-tilt for easy and convenient boot access. The towbar range, including the Thule Detachable Towbar, Thule Fixed Towbar and Thule Retractable Towbar were on show too, with customer enquiries directed to local Thule stockists. Other highlights included the award winning Thule SlideBar, with its bi-directional sliding facility.

Thule’s new EnRoute daypacks, including the EnRoute Strut and EnRoute Mosey, were offered as daily competition prizes.

Nigel Ward, general manager BA Towing, commented: “In collaboration with our colleagues in Outdoor, Towing had two displays showing our comprehensive range of Towbar systems – Thule MX (Retractable), BMA and BMC detachable systems, the increasingly popular swan neck and the traditional flange ball. These attracted a lot of interest from the visitors to our stand, and were of great value in enhancing the huge amount of enquiries we had for towball mounted cycle carriers. Yet again the increasing popularity of cycling in the UK was evident as more and more people wanted to be able to transport their bikes in a safe, yet practical way.”

Peter Barker, UK business manager BA Outdoor, added: “This four day event emphasises the importance of getting closer to our customers and how we deliver outdoor lifestyle solutions for them. The success of the show is confirmation of the fact that we think and act in the right way with regards to sports and leisure. Working hand-in-hand with BA Towing enables us as a company to cement our reputation as a market leading brand worldwide”.
