Team Sky and KASK extend partnership

Team Sky and helmet specialist KASK have extended their partnership to the end of the 2020 season.

KASK has provided the consistently successful Team Sky athletes with lightweight aerodynamic helmets since it was initially founded 2010. The relationship has thrived through many successful events such as Chris Froome’s Tour de France win earlier this year and Sir Bradley Wiggins’ 2012 victory at the same event.

In Team Sky’s seven previous seasons, KASK has provided six unique helmet models including the Vertigo, the Protone, the Infinity, the Bambino Pro and the Mojito. In preparation for the continued partnership, KASK has already begun work on the next generation of helmets, some of which will appear in the coming season.

“We’re proud to announce that we are once again extending our winning partnership with Team Sky,” said Diego Zambon, general manager at KASK.

“Team Sky entrusting the safety of their riders to us is both a big honour and a big responsibility, one that we strive hard year on year to both match and exceed. At KASK, we always keep the pressure on our programme of research and development.”

Carsten Jeppesen, head of technical operations at Team Sky added: “Having worked with KASK directly for the last eight years it was an easy decision to continue that collaboration together.

“Our riders and technicians demand the best in terms of protection, comfort and performance when tackling whatever they face in races and training; we need continued innovation and development from our helmet supplier to ensure we stay ahead of the pack in every way we can. That’s what we expect, and that’s what we get from KASK.”
