Having been said to be hot on the heels of Interbike in terms of trade attendance, Taiwan’s Taipei Cyle Show has confirmed that it is on course to become the second largest world supershow.
Once again, last year’s figures were topped all round, with the most notable stat reflecting that the show is more global than ever, with trade visitors from 86 countries in attendance, up by 22 nations from 2009.
Exhibitors came from 36 countries, with the majority coming from Europe, the US and Asian markets.
In total, 894 exhibitors (up 17.3 per cent) facilitating 3,018 booths represented a 4.5 per cent growth, compared to 2009.
The record number of exhibitors for this year’s show saw an expansion to the fifth and sixth floors and a larger outdoor exhibition area.
Attendance figures increased by 4,913 (+7.6 per cent).
