Sunwise launches 2017 collection

Oxford-based eyewear brand Sunwise has introduced the 2017 collection, which features a host of designs based on heritage and simplicity.

Together with the popular original frames, the new glasses are designed to round out the range into a comprehensive collection of functional and stylish glasses.

Originally designed for the British Water Rescue Team in 2008, the photochromatic Chromafusion 2.0 range in use from early morning through to dusk without the need to change lenses. Advanced anti-fog properties for changing temperatures and a waterproof coating repel most liquids, making the glasses easy to clean.

The Sunwise Hastings glasses feature handcrafted one-piece lenses fitted in an ultra-lightweight frame with a flexible nose pad and grip ventilation.

The new Parade White models feature yellow platinum lenses with GS Technology for extra protection against stronger sunlight whilst transforming to a new season seamlessly. The polarised lenses are impact resistant and filter out potentially damaging light.

The Kennington glasses were introduced to the interchangeable range this season. The new half-frame model is available in shiny black and sheer purple with a Buccula catch that fastens the frame and locks the lenses.

The Sunwise Essential range now features a coral pink model of Peak with red platinum lenses – as worn by Pippa Middleton in the Kenya marathon.

Commenting on the new additions, brand director Maria Aries said: “We are very proud of our partnership with England Athletics, which has been fruitful since 2008. Our aim is to grow and inspire the next generation of champions. Sunwise eyewear provides emotional and functional benefits to people’s lives and inspires everyone to take up a challenge involving sports and outdoor leisure activities. By purchasing our products, you’re supporting Sunwise’s cycling communities and the stockists.”
