Spirit Road Race team to ride Tifosi’s new super light SS26

If you’re heading to Whittlebury Hall for Core Bike at the end of January you’ll be able to see Tifosi’s SS26, featuring a high-modulus monocoque carbon frame weighing in at 950g. 

Boasting an hourglass shaped tapered head tube and sculpted fork blades, the race bike is to be ridden by British Elite Amateur race team Spirit Bikes for the 2016 season, with Tifosi sponsoring the riders.

The bike has been designed for the grass-roots team, first formed in 2010 to cultivate young local racing talent. The focus has been to pick out and develop riders and provide a platform to take them towards the Pro Peloton. The team is based in Aylesbury, Bucks.

In stock from March, the Tifosi SS26 has a shortened rear triangle of the frame, with an oversized BB86 bottom bracket for maximum power transfer and fast acceleration. Slender stays and a narrow 27.2mm seatpost effectively absorb and disperse road vibrations away from the rider. The frame is paired with a full Campagnolo Chorus groupset, with each precision Italian component ensuring a technological advantage over your competitors. Chorus spec, full build is priced at £3,499.

The frame is also ready to accommodate an electronic groupset and the SS26’s Miche SWR full carbon 38mm deep section wheels are handmade in Italy.
