Specialized has provided Alan Shearer and Adrian Chiles with Specialized equipment, bicycles and technical support in an effort to raise money for Sport Relief.
The duo will set off on the Sport Relief Super Cycle on Thursday 13th March, from St James’s Park, Newcastle, in a bid to cover the 335 miles to BBC Television Centre. Travelling via The Hawthorns ground in West Bromwich, they will aim to arrive in west London no later than 7.30pm the next evening, as part of Sport Relief’s big night of TV on March 14th.
Specialized is also be donating 3 Roubaix Expert bicycles to a charity auction, signed by Shearer and Chiles.
The two day ride will kick off with a 186 miler. Shearer has been doing 50-mile training rides. Chiles, however, looks as though he’s been training hard. Look at his sculpted quads here.
