As finance director, Gouldthorp has been "the driving force behind Raleigh’s successful transition from manufacturing to the customer, design and supply focussed company it is today," says a statement from Raleigh.
Prior to Raleigh, Gouldthorp held down jobs with ICI and Fujitsu Systems.
"[I am} keen to stress [our] continuing emphasis on a service-driven strategy, which has seen investment in a new state-of-art ERP* system and restructured sales, customer service and marketing functions," said Gouldthorp.
Jane Tomkinson, currently Parts & Accessories Business Director, will become Product & Marketing Director on
January 1st, taking over the responsibilities of Cycles Business Director, Mike Reynolds who is leaving
at the year end to "pursue his own business interests."
Many thought Reynolds was being groomed for the MD job.
