Raleigh looking to sponsor cycling talent

Raleigh is on the look out for fresh talent to add to its roster of supported athletes in road, TT, triathlon and track disciplines.

The support package will depend on the disciplines the chosen riders specialise in, but it is likely to include at least one racing bike, plus a selection of components from Raleigh brand partners, including High5 sports nutrition.

Applicants must be 16 or over and will receive bikes and equipment, as well as a boost to their public profile that comes from being associated with the heritage label.

"You don’t need to be number one in your field, although that certainly helps," said Geoff Giddings, Raleigh Marketing Director, "but you do need to have the passion, drive, and above all, the right personality to make it onto our Rider Support programme."

Raleigh’s support programme for 2013 has seen the company sponsor four ambitious cyclocross riders, Nick Barnes, Joe Atkins, Dylan Kerfoot-Robson and Harry Yates, who are all making great waves in the youth and U-23 categories of the sport.

To apply, head here before December 22nd. Raliegh asks that that applicants have strong race results from the 2013 season behind them and have outlined a race calendar for 2014. Successful applicants will also be asked to blog their progress through the season.
