Raleigh bags Reelight

Raleigh UK has signed an exclusive agreement to distribute the Reelight brand in the UK from March 1st.

Reelight’s products are battery-free, always-on, magnet-powered lights based on the induction principle. The lights are mounted on the hubs of wheels, while strong magnets are mounted on spokes. As soon as the wheels turn the lights come on, regardless of whether it is day or night.

Reelight picked up a gold EUROBIKE award last September for its safe and effective operation.

“There is so much happening in the UK and Ireland to promote cycling – especially cycling to work and school,” enthused Reelight’s Glenn Pederson. “Reelight’s mission is to make cyclists free to go on their bikes anywhere and anytime whilst always being visible and safe in traffic.

“Focusing all our activities in the UK and Ireland with Raleigh gives Reelight a strong and well established partner that really understands the market and the commuter segment.”
