Q3 sales at Halfords were up; Bikehut shines

Halfords Q3 sales were ahead by 5.6 per cent and by 3.7 per cent on a like-for-like basis. However, Bikehuts – the IBD-apeing ‘arcade’ format stores – did best of all.

The Bikehuts created in the last 12 months (Bikehut Phase Two stores) have performed the best: their Q3 results showed an 18 percent sales increase.

Sales in stores from the Phase One programme, which have now been open for more than 12 months, were up by 9 percent.
