Proviz launch REFLECT360 Colour Reflective System on Kickstarter

Proviz has launched its new REFLECT360 Colour Reflective System (CRS) Cycling Jacket in conjunction with a Kickstarter campaign.

The campaign, which launched on Tuesday evening, surpassed the initial funding target within seven hours, and has so far raised just over £42,000.

Following on from its successful REFLECT360 and REFLECT360+ ranges, the REFLECT360 CRS is the world’s first all colour cycling jacket to have a 100% reflective outer shell. The new jacket will be available in blue, red, green, yellow or black (under daylight conditions). This means that it not only caters for personal taste, but can also help cyclists to be more visible while daytime riding.

Under direct light, the new CRS system offers the same astonishing visibility that has made the REFLECT360 a favourite amongst cyclists around the world. Thanks to the thousands of tiny glass beads woven into the material, the jacket is able to reflect any light shone onto it, catching the attention of drivers and other road users.

The Kickstarter campaign will run until 25th August, with investors receiving up to 50% off the £129.99 RRP of a REFLECT360 CRS jacket.

On announcing the launch of the CRS System Proviz Co-Founder, Anthony Langly- Smith, said: "Since we started Proviz nearly 8 years ago, we have constantly tried to push the development of cycling safety equipment. We believe that the new CRS jacket can help cyclists have a safe and comfortable ride, as well as being aesthetically pleasing."

He then went on to explain why they chose to hold a Kickstarter campaign by saying: "We have a very loyal following at Proviz, with some customers supporting us since we launched our very first fluorescent helmet.’ He then added, ‘We wanted to repay the faith shown in us by giving our followers a unique opportunity to get their hands on one of the first jackets from what we think is an extremely exciting range. This campaign will also allow us to get the product to all our wholesale markets, much quicker than we would normally be able to."
