The Active Bike and Triathlon Show, due to take place at London’s ExCeL this spring, has been delayed due to ‘venue difficulties’.
The Show was due to debut on April 21st and run alongside the London Marathon Exhibition.
A number of firm’s from the cycle trade had got behind the event, including 2×2, Brompton and a number of others.
The show organiser – Active Media events – said: "We have taken the difficult decision to postpone the Active Bike and Triathlon Show for 2010. Despite the positive reaction to the event in the market, difficulties with the venue have recently arisen.
"The Show was due to take place this April at ExCeL and run alongside the London Marathon Exhibition, however the ExCel management team were unable to deliver the agreed halls.
"Active Media Events will fully refund all deposits. The Directors are looking at the possibility of running the show in 2011 and will be consulting the market to find appropriate dates and venue."
