Atran has been producing bike products in Sweden since 1937. As well as its range of traditional steel rack it produces an alu/steel/plastic rack called the Futura (pictured above, with Hella rear light)which has a ‘twisting plate’ which snaps out to make a square platform to carry laptops. The Atran website features a funky looking laptop-catching game, yet carries no details on the laptop carrying Futura!
A MTB version of the Futura will be launched at the Taipei show.
Payne told Bikebiz.co.uk he already had UK orders from two OE suppliers and four aftermarket distributors.
