More stars and trade names sign up to BikeRadar Live

Pacific Outdoor Equipment is the latest brand to sign up to Future’s BikeRadar Live event.

The manufacturer joins the likes of Dahon, Islabikes and JD Cycles, who will also be supporting the festival.

BikeRadar Live is set to take place at Donington Park on May 30th and 31st and is to be the biggest mass-participation cycling event in the UK, according to Future.

Montana-based Pacific Outdoor equipment will sponsor the Cycling Plus Sportive part of the event and entrants to the Sportive will receive a free ‘D-pouch’. The first 500 riders to finish the 100-mile sportive will be given a complimentary Velcro high-vis bike clip.

“We are really pleased to have found the perfect launch platform for the Pacific Outdoor Equipment’s One Less Car Series with BikeRadar Live,” enthused Pacific Outdoor Equipment spokesperson Natalie Stone. “The weekend set up sounds great, covering all cycling needs and the sportive is a great fit for our pannier range.”

Stunt show the Animal Relentless Tour will also be at the event featuring big names from trials, dirt jumping and freeriding, with trial rider Martyn Ashton, dirt jumper Sam Pilgrim and street rider Danny MacAskill showing their skills. Other riders attending BikeRadar Live include Dan and Gee Atherton, Stephen Roche and Graham Obree.

BikeRadar Live show organiser Grant Norris said: “We’re really exciting to have signed Pacific Outdoor Equipment as sponsors for the Cycling Plus Sportive, as a company which really tries to encourage cyclists to get out on their bikes and out on the road, it’s an ideal partnership.

“As for the big names which we’ve confirmed, I can’t wait to see the guys from the Animal Relentless Bike Tour in action; there is going to be some seriously amazing stunt-work going on! With star names in all of the major races, it’s going to be an action-packed weekend of cycling for sure!”
