Mojo Suspension’s MD Chris Porter said:
"Mojo would love to be able to throw its team and riders headlong into a national DH series of merit and use that as a stepping stone to the next level of World Cup competition. However, we dont believe we have a National Points Series of merit despite very healthy rider attendance and frankly excellent Scottish, Welsh and Midlands Regional Series.
"It is fairly well accepted amongst both riders and team owners that the NPS series in 2005 was badly put together and badly organised both in terms of racers getting their moneys worth and teams gaining the publicity/exposure they need to survive.
"There are two schools of thought on how to deal with this, one that you should keep your mouth shut, get in the queue for the uplift and not whine and grizzle as you get rained on for an hour or two and get four or five runs in over the course of a whole weekend, after all we need to support the National Series right?
"Another school of thought says that without the impetus for change for the better, we will never get change for the better. We need to vote with our feet and stay away or the series will never improve.
"We are not asking anyone else to follow suit, we would urge riders and team owners to consider exactly how improvements can be made to the existing NPS format without some leverage."
Mojo will be racing in the UK at the Scottish SDA series, the Welsh Dragon series and will race in Europe at the Maxxis Cup Series and World Cups on the European mainland.
