Manchester’s Bike Expo confirms 2016 dates

Bike Expo is returning to Manchester’s EventCity in 2016, from 18th to 20th March.

Last year the show rebranded as Bike Expo, having run for two years as The Bike & Triathlon Show. The rebranded and relocated show (at EventCity) saw exhibitor participation was up 46% in 2015 compared to the previous year, said the organiser. Ticket sales also grew significantly, with 7,500 visitors in 2015 – an improvement of 15% over 2014.

The organiser has high hopes for 2016 withan ever-growing exhibitor list featuring companies from across the cycling spectrum – from quality apparel brands such as Ashmei, to sports nutrition experts like USN, and a host of big bike brands like Specialized and Boardman.

Once again Bike Expo will be running alongside Tri Expo, Swim Expo and Run Expo, presenting an opportunity to launch or showcase new products and gear immediately prior to the summer cycling and triathlon season – a time when customers are said to be eager to get their hands on the latest innovations.

Exhibition sales manager, Aaron Dombey, said: “Buoyed by the success of last year’s event, we’ve got some exciting new plans for 2016. We’re stepping up the marketing of the expo this year, with a view to attracting even more keen cyclists and triathletes.

“Without giving too much away at this stage, one of our most ambitious plans for the event is to extend the Bike Swanky test track, which was a big hit at last year’s show. We believe that this will help to increase the number of customers through the door, providing more sales opportunities for our exhibitors.”
