Liggett, Raia, Lewis co-author Dummies book on Tour de France

Tour de France For Dummies (John Wiley & Sons, ISBN: 0764584499), is a plain-English guide to the world’s biggest annual sporting event. It is published on 13th June. You can pre-order it at Amazon.com, see link below.

The 288-page book demystifies the history, strategy, rules, techniques, equipment, and competitors in the Tour de France.

It contains a foreword by Lance Armstrong but eschews putting the Texan icon on the front cover.

The book’s authors are experts at getting behind the scenes of the Tour de France.

CTC president Phil Liggett is the world’s most popular English-speaking cycling commentator. As a journalist and broadcaster, he has attended the Tour de France for 32 consecutive years.

James Raia is a journalist who has covered cycling for more than 25 years.

Sammarye Lewis is ‘VeloGal’, the creator of the Podium Girl Gone Bad books.

The 92nd Tour de France will be held July 2-24.
