Kryptonite introduce 2006 locks

"Kryptonite continues to look at new designs, materials and features while maintaining the security fundamentals that all serious locks must have," said Tim Clifford, director of sales.

The New York Fahgettaboudit U-lock is Kryptonite’s latest edition to the New York series of products and is a mini U-lock with more steel in its shackle than any other bicycle u-lock in this line, "giving thieves their biggest frustration ever," promised Kryptonite.

The high security lock features an 18mm shackle and has ‘next generation’ disc-style cylinders, virtually impervious to picking.

The other stand-out product in the range is the low security KCL, a 152cm twisted steel cable. When the KCL’s dust cover is turned to open a sensor triggers an internal light for 10 seconds to make inserting the flat key into the cylinder easy in the dark.
