Koga opens first concept store

The world’s first dedicated Koga bicycle store opened its doors at the weekend (Saturday January 14th) in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Jonas Larsson, owner of ‘Koga Center Copenhagen’, started selling Koga bicycles around six years ago, when he came up with the idea of managing a store around one brand: Koga.

“I am really excited by this project," enthused Larsson. "Ever since I started selling Koga bicycles, I saw the market for the Koga brand in Copenhagen and Denmark overall growing year by year. These high end Dutch bicycles fit perfectly in Danish demand for quality and design.”

Pieter Jan Rijpstra, sales manager export Koga BV commented: “We are very proud that there will be a dedicated Koga store in Copenhagen. The exposure of this store will ensure a good service to our customers and a presentation of our Koga bicycles at a high level fitting the Koga image and quality.”

In the UK, Storck opened two concept stores at the end of last year. Back in May, BikeBiz spoke to Giant and Specialized about the growing concept and brand store trends.
