Sean Yates will be riding. So will David Duffield. And even the BikeBiz editor has been invited to take part (and is wondering whether he’ll get the time to put in some long-distance practice rides).
Phil Liggett is the CTC president and the Phil and Friends ride is open to all. It starts in Sheffield and takes in some of the "Alpine stages" of the sadly-missed Milk Race.
Hundreds of riders are expected to take part, many of them raising money for the nominated charity, the CTC’s Cyclists Defence Fund.
