BicycleBusiness is organising an industry bike ride open to anybody connected to the bike trade.
The Centenary Club ride due to take place on Monday at 6pm will now be part of the BikeBiz ride.
It’s still early days but one likely plan is this: meet outside the entrance to the new exhibition hall at 6.15pm and set off en masse for a ride to a country pub and back again. Keenies can get to the pub early and leave late, or forget the pub and just go for a burn with like minded riders.
The ride will be about 1 to 1.5 hours long (not including the pub stop!). It’s envisaged to be a ride on minor roads but if someone would like to suggest an off-road loop for those sure to bring their Orange 222’s then no doubt a ‘Harrogate Singletrack’ option could be included.
A number of industry figures have already pledged their Lycra-shorted support for the ride and if you’d like to join them on the night (baggies and plus fours acceptable too) please email bikeride@bikebiz.co.uk.
This is a ride open to all: execs, reps, IBDs, journos, rival trade show organisers, and anybody else with cycle trade credentials.
