Halfords ups the ante with Airborne

Halfords has introduced the niche US bike brand into 50 of its best performing stores.

Airborne is known for its custom-built bikes delivered in 10 working days with either Shimano or Campag finishing kits.

Frame prices start at £505 for the Corsair, with the top of the range carbon/titanium road frame – the Manhattan Project – costing £1683.

Both road and mountain frames are available.

Roger Cook, who will be looking after the brand at Halfords, said:

"The Airborne brand represents the pinnacle of bike technology, both the attention to detail and the quality of the ride are exceptional."

The prices in Halfords are marginally less than Airborne’s internet prices.
