For 2003, Giant UK will continue to support the XC and DH National Points Series (NPS) and Championships. Giant will also support the Giant Stendec DH team and Tri UK’s IBD triathlon team.
And Giant bikes are being provided to the Company of Cyclists’ BikeWorks Roadshow, aimed at promoting cycling in the workplace.
Ian Beasant, Giant UK’s marketing director, said:
“Internationally we believe strongly in the value of sponsorship and like to invest money into promoting our brand through sponsoring racing teams around the world. Investing in top class athletes to compete on our bikes is the best way to stay ahead of the game. The type of feedback garnered out on the field enables us to continue to design state-of-the-art bikes that get results.”
Results of a different nature will accrue from the product support offered to the York-based Company of Cyclists.
Jim McGurn’s try-out company has been provided with a "fleet of Giant bikes". The Company of Cyclists’ BikeWorks campaign promotes cycle commuting within the workplace through BikeWorks Roadshows and presentations. The next Roadshow is for April 12th.
