Giant moves ‘fastest bike’ into production

Giant has confirmed that the Trinity Advanced SL, formerly only available to the brand’s race team, will now go into full production.

Dubbed the ‘world’s fastest bike’, the TT/Tri bicycle was unveiled to the cycling media prior to the start of stage four of the 2009 Tour de France.

With 12 months of testing, complete with input from of Team Rabobank as well as Ironman triathlete Timo Bracht, the model has already scooped wins at the World Time Trials and Giro D’Italia.

“This whole project started with two guiding principles,” said Pierre-Henri Medas, Giant’s global road category manager. “One, the bike would be built solely for function, without concern about design aesthetics. And two, it had to be approved by the UCI. These two principles served the end goal of providing professional riders the tools to win the most competitive races in the world.”
