Falcon to distribute Urban Mover

Falcon has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Urban Mover giving it rights to the UK and Ireland.

Two of the 36v models are already in stock ready to ship and the new 26v Elite-Lite Folder is planned to be in their warehouse in time for Easter. Electrics aside, the bikes boast Shimano STI, Tektro brakes and levers with integrated magnetic sensor, Suntour fork with lockout, and Kenda K series puncture protection tyres.

Panasonic Lithium Ion cells, with a smart chip to manage output and charge, power the bikes, while an on board Command Module makes fault finding simple for a mechanic carrying out repairs. Electric components are desinged to be ‘plug and play’ and easily replaceable.

Dave Heath-Drury, Falcon sourcing and product development manager said: “The UK market is hungry for trouble free e-bikes. Currently the new e-bike consumer is often disappointed that the bike they chose is unreliable and doesn’t live up to their expectations. This new range from Urban Mover is as close to ideal as we have found. We have very high expectations of these e-bikes which are equipped with top grade C2 Panasonic cells in a ‘Smart Chip battery with a matched Japanese DPL controller and propulsion system resulting in a very impressive combination of simplicity, performance and reliability.”

The UM10 and UM20 are expected to retail at £1,595 and Falcon tells BikeBiz margins are ‘competitive’.
